Here is an essay that is bouncing off a column in Salon which calls for "pride" for dudes in dresses. The Salon article spoke much of the positive health benefits of being proud without differentiating pride for something well done and arrogance. Author Elizabeth Hlavinka appears not to understand the difference.
In point of fact there is too much pride these days; hubris is one of modernity's chief flaws. Pride, as the old saying points out, goeth before a fall. Pride was the very first sin, the one that consumed Lucifer and later our own great, great, great, great ....grandparents.
And the Left has been puffing people up with pride for decades now. I remember back in the '80's when the self-esteem movement got rolling; the left told us kids didn't do well in school because they weren't sufficiently proud of themselves and so the push was on to bloat up their self-esteem. This was done in many ways - participation trophys instead of giving them only to the winners, grade inflation in schools, etc. Children were told they were BETTER than adults and that THEY were smarter and wiser. The outcome? You had pepole like David Hogg, a monster of arrogance and vanity. Hogg once said, "it's like a phone; you have to just take the damned thing out of their hands and fix it for them." Of course Hogg had no idea of how much he didn't know then (or now) and how much more his parents knew. He mistook competency with a gadget, one that didn't exist when his parents were growing up. But I'll bet Hogg would be stymied with a rotary dial phone, or a manual typewriter. Bet he can't even drive a stick shift.
But he is the ideal the Left has long sought to achieve. Greta Thurnberg too. Empty headed arrogant little snots who have been told all their lives they are demigods and who believe they are brilliant when in fact they are pretty dull.
But getting back to this "pride" business. Why is a boy who is play-acting at being a girl more deserving of pride than an actual girl who actually accomplished something? One of the big problems these days is boys competing in girl's sports, shattering records as they are in a whole other class than the girls with whom they are competing. Most of these boys were mediocre athletes as boys but they are dominant in women's sports. Why, pray tell, are their feelings more important than all the girls who either won a silver or bronze, or worse no medal at all? There are a lot more bruised egos from pushing these dudes in dresses than just that one person who might not be as proud if he had to compete fairly against his own.
And it is a false pride, one unearned. Imagine a Heavyweight boxer being allowed to fight in the Welterweight class. He'd be unstoppable. But nobody would respect him because he had an obvious, unfair advantage. So if he knocks out the champ and gets the belt he has no reason to be proud; it was a form of chating. Imagine too a 25 year old man playing in a league for 13 year olds. That is ALMOST as creepy as dudes in dresses! And it is about as fair.
Our dunderheaded champion of faux science has this to say:
Elizabeth Hlavinka, Salon
I'm sorry but prancing about in women's clothing is the source of their shame, not how society feels about it. These "women" know full well in their hearts they are men pretending to be women. If there is shame it is because they are ashamed of themselves.
There is such a thing as Natural Law and it is written on our hearts and in our minds. Nobody has to tell you about it; you instinctively know it. A boy knows he's a boy. He may have some trauma, something that twisted his mind, but deep down this boy knows what he is and by pretending to be otherwise he's violating Natural Law, and in the process he feels shame. It's true in many other aspects of life. Take any kinky fetish and you will find the person who practices it is ashamed of himself, tries to keep it quiet. There are very few people who have sex with animals, or with their sisters, or who get off on consuming the contents of the toilet, who boast about it. The few that do do so to shock people, nothing more, and they desire to do that as a way of convincing themselves it's acceptable. But it's not and they know it. I believe trans people know it too.
So how can you have "positive health outcomes" when you are flying in the face of Nature, of the natural order? You can't. This is only taking a sickness and metastasizing it.
The LGBTQEIEIO crowd is big on "who you are" and claims they are being authentic. How so? There is nothing authentic in taping your penis to your leg, or getting breast implants, or anything else associated with trans. It is by it's very nature deception - deceiving others and deceiving yourself. it is wholly inauthentic. "Who you are" is what Nature and Nature's God made you, not what you believe you can become through an act of will and a defiance of reality. If a trans person wants to be authentic they need to stop being trans.
I would add the homosexual community came up with that "this is who we are" business to thwart efforts by the medical community to cure homosexuality. Back in the 19th century homosexuals largely remained in the closet, but writings from that time showed they saw their gayness not as an identity but as a choice. They saw themselves as rebels. But when new psychological techniques were devised and the possibility of curing, or at least treating, homosexuality arose they switched it up and began claiming "this is who we are" because they knew that Americans wouldn't condemn them if they didn't havea choice. If there was a choice then they actually wanted to be homosexual, and the moral implications of that were obvious. But if it wasn't a choice nobody could blame them! It was wildly successful and now is applied to almost every minority group. They all say it's just who they are, they are hard-wired that way. But that is not true.
We know the human brain can rewire itself based on training and effort. for example, Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz did seminal research on OCD patients and was successful in treating them using mindful meditation - they rewired their brains JUST BY THINKING. Being gay might seem natural to gay people but it's largely because they rewired their brains to be gay. It no doubt can be rewired back.
As the Bible says, "as a man thinketh so shall he be".
BUT that doesn't mean he can alter fundamental aspects of his existence, like his sex. All he can do is fake it.
That is the core of our problem in this modern age; we are arrogant, believing ourselves to be gods and thinking we can have and do anything we like as long as we will it.
I would call this witchcraft; an atttempt to alter reality via an act of will and manipulation of circumstances. We live in an age of witches.
In the old stories the witch can transform herself into a beautiful girl via enchantment, but in the end she's always revealed as an old crone. Her beauty is not real. Just like the femininity of transsexuals.
No matter how much social validation the emperor's new wardrobe may get in the final analysis he's still naked.

Trump backed Nawrocki.
Makes me wonder if the Elites will actually let him serve. Remember, the Romanian supreme court tossed out the election results when a MAGa type won and forced a second election - which the Internationalists and E.U. types won.

We often think of Texas as a deep-red state, a very conservative state. But it isn't. It's the state that gave American Lyndon Johnson, for instance. The state legislature is still very RINO.
Case in point:
In spite of the fact that Texas is ground zero for illegal immigration the Republican state legislature passed a "do not cooperate" law that essentially forces sheriffs to not work with DHS and ICE.
FTA:
It only applies to "certain sheriffs” that operate jails or enter into contracts with vendors that operate jails, according to the bill language. It doesn’t apply to state agencies or police departments. It doesn’t respond to a Trump administration request for all law enforcement officials in all counties nationwide to participate in a federal immigration program referred to as 287(g). Named after a section of the 1996 Immigration and Nationality Act, it authorizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to delegate to state and local law enforcement officers specified immigration functions under ICE supervision.
Under the Biden administration, former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas limited 287(g) participation to a jail model, which the Texas bill follows.
The Trump administration expanded 287(g) to three models, a Jail Enforcement Model (JEM), Task Force Model (TFM) and Warrant Service Officer (WSO) model, The Center Square reported. Additional models may be rolled out in the future. ICE provides free training, saying it "bears the cost of 287(g) training for law enforcement agencies.”
As of May 29, law enforcement agencies in 40 states were participating in 287(g), with the greatest number of agreements signed in Florida, The Center Square reported.
Florida agencies are participating in all three models, including Florida’s 67 sheriff’s offices; roughly 90 police departments; multiple university police departments, including boards of trustees; county commissioners; airport police; multiple departments of corrections, among others. No other state has the level of participation that Florida does.
By comparison, 64 Texas sheriffs have signed at least one 287(g) agreement with ICE, as well as the Nixon Police Department, Texas National Guard and Texas Office of Attorney General. Applications are pending from four additional sheriffs, as of May 29 data.
Current sheriff participation represents roughly 27% of Texas’ 254 counties. The majority are counties with small populations with limited funds. Notably absent are the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and other state agencies.
So sheriffs who operate jails can't work with ICE, essentially. Who does this benefit? Certainly not the people of Texas. Seems to me it benefits the cartels.
I suppose the RINO legislature thinks they are somehow "winning" tthe Hispanic vote by bucking the Trump administration.
Remember, this is the same legislature that impeached Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over bogus allegations of corruption.
So Texas wants Federal help but doesn't want to assist the feds in their work.
The real danger here is the upcoming election; if the people of Texas choose not to vote and the GOP loses a seat or two because the state legislature refuses to implement the will of the public then the GOp could lose the House and with that all the investigations and impeachments come back. Trump will be a lame-duck President. We will have lost our opportunity.
Texans are proud of being independent and conservative. Sadly their voting record doesn't really reflect that.

Whilet this article paints the woman as a total kook, she was a an assistant HUD director under George w. Bush. And frankly you can ake everything she said and put it into terms that most of us would not disagree with. That the Daily Mail is twisting her words and sneering at her suggests she's on the right track.
Ex-Bush official makes shocking claim about who is REALLY running the world: 'It's demonic'
The worst accusation is claims she believes little green men are controlling world governments. I rather think, given the "demonic" label, she's saying the world is under the thumb of demonic forces, a premise to which I think most Americans would agree.
As for the rest, mostly it's acccurate. Mr. Global is just a term she invented to describe the internationalist who have been laboring for a hundred years to create a new world order. We know many of the names; Rothchild, Rockefeller, Klaus Schwab, George Soros, Bill Gates, etc. We know they meet around the globe, at Davos, at Renaissance Weekend, in a number of other places.
Thinking Covid was an attempt to foseter "The Great Reset" is not at all incredible; we had many of the elites saying exactly that.
And we've had a big rush to create a world-girdling economic system based on biometric data and surveillance. We know this comports with the Mark of the Beast from the Book of Revelations.
We know the AI revolution can well be used to keep track of every person on Earth. And that the elites, particularly those in Silicon Valley, fantasize about merging Man and machine into a race of cyborgs "transhumanism" as they call it.
Thers is nothing kooky or out there about what she said; it was only portrayed that way by the media.
We know the media has done such things in the past. Look at how they portrayed Joe McCarthy and people who believed Communists were deeply embedded in our government. Turns out the conpiracy theorists were right all along. so the media never talks about it.
It's easy to smear people who know what is going on as kooks when you control the organs that disseminate information.
What she terms "interdimensional intelligence" we used to call demonic forces. It's pretty much the same thing. Until recently most Americans believed in demons and angels. And a Yougov. poll finds 50% of Americans still do. Certainly we have to admit there are people who have charactteristics that are not human but demonic - Hitler, for example. John Wayne Gaycey. Charles Manson. You can see such evil at certain times too. I know people who were caught up in the riots in Ferguson and they said evil was palpable there.
Oh, and the Covid vaccines do modify human DNA despite claimss to the contrary.
In the end this woman is corect and she's clearly basing some of her beliefs on the Bible (as do I). Of course those in power all hate the Bible and Christianity and so this article was written as a tool to bludgeon both.
This is soooo how they operate.

The Trump Administration told the American (Communist)Bar Ass. to cram their rating of potential judges wher the sun doesn't shine.
Justice Department Tells American Bar Association it wil no Longer Comply witth Ratings of Judicial Nominees
The ABA has become an entirely politiccized entity that uses it's influence to turn the courts into radical institutions. This is long past due.
If the Bar wants to weigh in on judges it can now do so like the rest of America - from a stool with a glass of scotch whiskey.
The American judiciary has grown increasingly radical as the ABA has given good ratings to radicals and bad ones to Constitutionalists. Time for that to change.

Oh, puh-leeze!
Summer 2025 forecast calls for 'overwhelmingly above normal' heat starting in June
We always have "overwhelming heat" after June - it's called summer.
This is based on forecasts from the climate idiots at NOAA. NOAA has the worst record for accuracy of forecasts of any agency making such predictions. And they fudge data regularly too.
The Left is going to blame this on budge cuts so if NOAA gets it right they will be able to crow about "climate change" and if they get it wrong will blame it on that SOB Elon Musk and DOJE and Donald J (for Jerk) Trump! The same holds true for other government weather bureaus.
The article shows it's purely opportunistic to reinforce the climate change narrative and frighten popele; it mentions the Canadian wildfires and blames them on warming. Intersting; most of Canada had an unusually cool spring. So how are the current fires even remottely related to warming?
Either the writers of this piece 'o, well, piece are too lazy to research for themselves as I justt did or they have an agenda.

Canada has launched an envoronmental attack on the U.S., no doubt in retaliaton for Trump's tariffs, and The Great White Dopes in Ottawa don't seem to care!
Of course I'm kidding.
Massive wildfires are befouling the atmosphere with Canadian smoke (the worst kind) and it is both darkening Americna skies and aggravating American lungs. I should know; I've been coughing and producing phlegm all weekend now. Sleeping a lot too.
So why is this happening? I suspect Canada, in the grips of the left now for a decade now, has made it illegal to remove deadwood.
According to SOR 94 118)
You have to purchase a permit to remove ANY wood from "crown land". and this has been ongoing since 1994,even through some conservative administrations. Some Provinces allow limited harvesting of deadwood, but most of them (like Ontario) don't allow it at all.
So no doubt this is a coefficient of the Gang-Green rules imposed upon our nortthern nutter brothers.
When dead timber builds up firest ensue.
Oh, did I mention that 80% of all firefighting equiopment in Canada comes from the U.S.? How's that tariff war working out for you Canucks now, eh?

The Washington Post seems confused about where Jews "belong".
After asking the question they had to beat a hasty retreat and deleted the post.
WaPo deletes post about confusion on 'where Jews belong' after ...
Jews belong in two places:
1.Israel
2. Any other place outside of Israel where they live.
What is so complicated about either of those statements?
Jew is a term for the Tribe of Judah, who historically lived in the southern part of greater Israel. When the ten northern tribes of the 12 seceded from the Kingdom they kept the name Israel while the small tribe of Benjamin (and the Levites) remained in Judea, hence the name.
And while they were forcibly evicted from the land God had given them twice - notably by the Babylonians and later by the Romans - they came back. And even when they had been sent into exile there still remained many Jews not worth deporting to either Babylon or Rome. They have always been in this land since the time of Moses.
Possession is 9/10ths of the law, the old saying goes. They always possessed it, even if they had overlords and johnnie-come-lately colonists.
"Palestinians" don't exist as a people. The name was created by the Romans, a corruption of Phillistia, and it was given to the region as an insult to the Jews who lived there. Rome sought to remove the Jewish influence over the region, so they changed the names of places. The Sea of Gallilea became Lake Tiberius. Sh'chem was renamed by the Romans to Neopolis, Mabartha became Neapolis. Jerusalem became Aelia Capitolina after the emperor Hadrian crushed the second rebellion. And it was Hadrian who changed the name of the entire land to Palestine.
"Palestinians" are immigrants, many illegal, who started coming to take jobs being created by returning Jews during the british mandate, and they came from places like Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. They are not an unique people but rather a mix of different Mulsim peoples. Acting as though they are a traditional people with their own culture and heritage is rather like saying the illegal aliens who invaded the U.S. are aboriginal and have their own culture and tradition and are entitled to own the whole Southwest.
They aren't; they're scofflaws. A great many of the Palestinais are likewise.
In fact when the U.N. first partitioned the land these "Palestinians" had their own country - Transjordan. But the king of Transjordan couldn't maintain order int he lawless West Bank and in Gaza, so he simply dumped the territory and closed off his border. To this day the Jordanians won't let Palestinians come in. THEY knew these were bad people.
(BTW back in the '20's and '30's Ramallah was predominantly Christian. The Moslems have since driven out most if not all of the Christians there and it is an Islamic hellhole.)
At any rate the Jews have every right to this land. And they have every right to live in places where they immigrated, as do everyone else who immigrates legally.

Another from Rachel Alexander.
Rachel tackles the bogus prosecution of people involved with creating an alternate slate of electors.
From the article in the Arizona Sun:
The defendants have maintained that the prosecution was politically motivated. Former Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward, one of the defendants, posted her support for the decision on X. "She & her team are trying to get the judge to STAY the decision (ie: hold it indefinitely) … so they can go around the law they are required to follow (rule 12.9 of criminal procedure) and they have the GALL to claim that the defendants (us) are not being harmed by this. WE HAVE BEEN HARMED EVERY DAY SINCE THIS BEGAN.”
Mayes is prosecuting the alternate slate of electors for alleged crimes such as forgery, claiming that creating an alternate slate was criminal. Myers remanded the case back to the grand jury because the jurors, who indicted 18 including Trump’s former attorney and constitutional legal scholar John Eastman, were not provided with a copy of the 1887 Electoral Count Act (ECA). Defense attorneys argued that the ECA allowed for multiple slates of electors. It was amended afterwards in 2022 by Congress to restrict that, stating that the Vice President did not have substantive authority to reject slates of electors.
During the State Bar of California’s disbarment trial against Eastman, he presented testimony from numerous experts on the issue, including Berkeley constitutional law professor John Yoo. Yoo, who has published law review articles on the topic, testified about previous historical instances where Vice Presidents exercised their substantive authority when considering whether to accept alternate slates of electors. Yoo said there has been only one legal scholar ever who thought the Vice President did not have this authority before the 2022 amendment.
Myers said in his May 19 opinion, "A review of the grand jury proceedings in this matter demonstrates that the ECA was central to the Defendant’s claims that they were acting lawfully and without an intent to defraud. At the oral argument on the instant motions, the State confirmed that at the time of the grand jury proceedings it was aware that at least some of the Defendants claimed that their actions were authorized by the ECA.”
He cited the obligation prosecutors have to inform grand juries of all applicable law. Myers quoted one of the cases, Korzep v. Superior Court. "This duty includes providing instructions on justification defenses that, based on the evidence presented to the grand jury, are relevant to the jurors determining whether probable cause exists to indict the defendant,” the Arizona Court of Appeals ruled.
Myers relied on Rule 12.9 of Criminal Procedure, which "permits a defendant to challenge the findings of the grand jury if the defendant was denied a substantial procedural right,” he said. "If the defendant’s challenge is successful, the case must be remanded to the grand jury for a new finding of probable cause.”
Myers said in February, when he held that there was merit to the defendants claims that the case was brought in political retaliation, that Arizona’s anti-SLAPP law allows a case to be dismissed if "the legal action was substantially motivated by a desire to deter, retaliate against or prevent the lawful exercise of a constitutional right.

Here they go again!
The D.C. Bar is trying to suspend Jennifer Kerkhoff Muyskens’ law license over her prosecution of violent rioters at Donald Trump’s first presidential inauguration on January 20, 2017
Make no mistake about it; the bar association is as leftist as any body, and they abuse the authority they have. Not sure why we need a bar association anyway; lawyers already have to be licensed by the states or other authorities.
Rachel Alexander writes:
Muyskens had an unblemished work history and has since quit the legal profession. She was accused in the complaint of violating one of the typical broad, vague ethics rules typically used by state bars to target conservative attorneys, "the duty to refrain from actions that seriously interfere with the administration of justice,” Rule 8.4(d). The other five ethics rules she allegedly violated primarily related to not disclosing some videos to the defense.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) for the bar claimed she didn’t turn over enough discovery, despite two judges instructing her to limit the amount of evidence she provided, and she was criticized for minor edits made by a police officer to Project Veritas videos exposing the planning of the riot. He had taken out parts that weren’t relevant, which is standard practice for officers/

Since yesterday we discusses the flower-rolling set, the Young and the Massive, I thought I'd start this Sunday with a little tune about obesity from Jethro Tull.
Fat Man
Ian Anderson had this to say in his tongue-in-cheek song:
People would think that I was just good fun, man
Would rather be a thin man
I am so glad to go on being one, man
Too much to carry around with you
No chance of finding a woman who
Will love you in the morning and
All the nighttime too
Don't want to be a fat man
Have not the patience to ignore all that
Hate to admit to myself
I thought my problems came from being fat, man
Won't waste my time feeling sorry for him
I've seen the other side through being thin
Roll us both down a mountain and I'm sure
The fat man would win

Chewing the fat with the Dem's newest sex bomb:
https://wokespy.com/dems-lure-young-men-back-with-hambeast-influencer/
The Hungry Hungry Hippo influencer is pro-gay marriage. I should hope so; she's turned enough young men and frat boys in that direction over the years!
Why would the Democrats think this woman is the key to bringing young men back to the party that hates them?
I would add that the Democrats USED to understand the power of sex appeal. College boys dated Democrat girls because they put out. The Democrats always did a good job of recruiting women to use feminine wiles to entice men. During the sixties the Republican women were all buttoned down and the Democrat chicks were burning their bras. How does burning a bra have ANY impact on society? Because lots of men show up to watch these chicks take 'em off.
But now the Democrats are trying to suck men in with transvestites and Darling Clementine (the Bobby Darin version).
Though she weighed two ninety-nine
The old bridge trembled and disassembled
(Oops!) Dumped her into the foamy brine
Hey, it cracked like thunder (Ho, ho)
You know she went under (Ho, ho)
Blowin' bubbles *bubble sound* down the line
Hey, I'm no swimmer, but were she slimmer
I might'a saved that Clementine"
[...]
"Hey you, sailor (Ho, ho) way out in your whaler
With your harpoon and your trusty line
If she shows now, yell, "There she blows now"
It just may be chunky Clementine"
Of course it was inevitable that obese women be raised up by the Left, along with every other sort of strange and bizarre types. Long ago I read a novel called Trouble on Triton Samuel R. Delany's 1976 novel about a terrible dystopia full of freaks. "The mutilation of the body, the mutilation of the mind" was the chant of one group of weirdos that resonated with the main character (who was always chasing peace of mind but couldn't find it. He had a sex change later in the novel, only alienating him from the few friends he had.) Delany rightly saw what was coming in the radical leftist movement.
Well, now Delany's nightmare is here. Elephantine women, men dressed as women, the ugliest and most diseased and most unattractive of characteristics are promoted. This is the same rebellion as Lucifer's, to alter the fundamental standard of beauty (God given) to elevate the grotesque and unpleasant and willful.
Do not get me wrong; big women are not automatically ugly. Some are quite beautiful, and by that I don't just mean physically, but on the inside. Many ARE physically beautiful too, but that is in spite of their weight problems, not because of them. One is strongly tempted to believe people like this influencer seek to make themselves as unattractive as possible as a form of rebellion. Like the demons of old, who purposely mutillated themselves.
Flannery O'Connor, the mid-20th century Christian writer, once wrote a short story "Good Country People" about just this thing. The protagonist is a twenty-something recent college grad who is smitten with herself and believes she holds true wisdom. So she changed her name to Hulga just to anger her mother, whom she looked down on in scorn and contempt, one of the "good country people" she found so very offensive. She tried to be ugly. She was ultimately angry about losing her leg (and she had a wooden leg). At any rate she meets a young man, a Bible salesman, who promptly has sex with her then steals her leg. She had hoped to ruin him by seducing him then leading him into the abyss in which she had herself leaped. At the end he tells her "you think you're so clever believing in nothing. Hell; I've beleived in nothing for years!" as he walks off with her leg.
I suspect that is what this woman is, another Hulga. She is angry about having a weight problem and wants to punish God by rebelling and embracing her obesity as if it were a badge of honor. It's a giant middle finger to everyone around her.
Maybe I'm wrong but I suspect it is so.
Look, I've always had a weight problem myself, and have tried over the years to keep it under conttrol. That's hard; I get it. But I don't go around acting proud of it. Men are never going to embrace the flabby side.
That doesn't mean men won't date or marry heavy girls, just that they have to work a lot harder to get them. A sweet, loving personality goes a long way towards that. But many fat chicks develop the opposite, attacking before they can be hurt. That only makes it harder to find someone; who wants a bitchy fat wife?
But liberals never understand that things are the way they are; they always think it's a matter of re-educating people and everything can be changed. It just requires an act of will.
We are programmed to want healthy, beautiful women. They are more likely to give us progeny, more likely to give our progeny a boost up where their own reproduction is concerned, and they give us status. An overweight wife is likely going to be unhealthy and children from such a wife often are as well. We are biologically progrmmed to optimize the health of our partners and children. It's part of our DNA.
So if the Donkeys think this will win them young men, they should think again. Look at Bud Lite; it was huge when it featured busty women in commercials and good times. Bud Lite tanked when they tried using a dude in drag as spokesXi. A-B is back to it's roots with Bud Lite now. But the Democrats didn't learn a thing from that. Now they are trying to put up quarter ton mountain of meat to attract men. A BITCHY feminist quarter ton of woman flesh. Ain't gonna happen.

Activist Judge Facing Prison Time for Helping Illegal Alien Claims She’s Above the Law
From the article:
Her attorneys argue that she is protected by judicial immunity for actions taken in her official capacity.
The defense further asserts that the prosecution violates the Tenth Amendment and the constitutional principle of separation of powers.
"The indictment itself is an ugly innovation. Its dismissal will not be,” Dugan’s legal team wrote in their memorandum.
Dugan is not accused of accepting bribes or violating anyone’s constitutional rights.
Her attorneys emphasized that judges can be charged for conduct "wholly unrelated” to their judicial duties, but maintain that Dugan’s actions do not meet that standard.
But this was NOT action in service to her official duties; it was rather her political opinions put into action using her status. A judge can't be arrested for exercising their duties but this was just interference with those lawful agents who were enforcing Federal law. THAT is illegal.
And since when have liberals or judges concerned themselves with the Tenth Amendment? It's ignored as if it were not there.
But in this case she can't even make that argument; this is a clear mattter of Federal law; the person being sought was an illegal alien, and the Constitution is quite clear on who runs tHAT show. SHE is in violation, rather, of the Supremacy Clause which states that in key areas involving things like national security or immigration the Feds and the Executive Branch are supreme.
As for judicial immunity, does that mean she can take out a gun and shoot someone in her courtroom? Does that mean she can not pay taxes to the IRS?
And it is SHE who was meddling in Separation of Powers, usurping the authority to enforce the law granted expressly to the Executive Branch of government.
It's a ridiculous argument.
Of course in modern America she may well win at the lower court levels, especially being a judge. Other judges will be reluctant to send one of their own up the river lest it happen to them when THEY pull something like this.
I conclude with a quote from Al Pacino in And Justice for All as I am dragged from the courtroom "this concludes my opening statement!"
P.S. I want to come up with some insulting nickname for this woman. Any submissions?

In the last couple of months I've noticed a big increase in the number of people panhandling along busy roads in the greater St. Louis area. Now panhandlers are common in the core of the city but I'm seeing them out in reasonably affluent suburban areas (like around the spot where my wife's nursing facility resides) and I am quite suspicious.
Why? Rush Limbaugh used to play this little game, pointing out how "homelessness" always seemed to grow when Republicans were in power and disappear when Democratswere in charge. It was like Shazam! Homelessness was immediately solved when the Donkeys came into office. And they seemed to come out from whatever hidey-hole they were in during Republican administrations.
At any rate I used to work in real estate and got all over the metropolitan area and saw panhandlers of every stripe. There are two categories - the organizations asking for donations and the homeless. Once you got used to them you could spot which was which almot immediately. They had multiple tells. The homeless were usually dirty and their clothes ragged. Their personal hygience was lacking. They were often very thin. They moved differently from the first kind; more deliberately and with less bounce. I could go on but the point is made.
At any rate what I'm seeing now are people with "Will Work for Food" signs panhandling in places tthat didn't have panhandlers before. The one by my wife's facility is nowhere near any sort of homeless shelter yet there they are. Why?
They are wearing decent if old clothes, clean clothers, Most of them are clean enough personally. There were a few beards but many of the men have shaven. Lots of women.
I believe the Democrats and their NGO allies are recruiting people to panhandle, pretend they are homeless to gaslight Americans into believing the economy is in ruins. I suspect they are recruiting these people from - somewhere, and probably paying them to panhandle for them. I suspect they are getting labor union folks to do it. Theyare giving them transportation too, in all likelihood.
This is the kind of thing the Left always does, cireate a false narrative and put on a show to make it appear true. Like Potemkin, the Czar's minister who was tasked with building villages and never did (he put up false fronts on his "villages" and had people go from one to another cheering the Czar as he cruised down the Dneiper.)
It's a con job, a swindle.
I did give a pandhandler a few bucks the other day and he was legit. I could tell by his look. I further knew he was legit because as soon as I gave him the money he started walking over to the QukTrip on tthe corner (to by booze, probably, although he might have used it for food). Any way you slice it homeless panhandlers don't stay on the job beyond the point where they have the money they need for a specific goal. The ones I'm seeing do; I'll see 'em when I go to vist Cathy and see 'em when I leave hours later. This tells me they are being paid to do this, not just looking for a few dollars to help get by.
If the Left actually had an argument they wouldn't need to resort to cheap stunts and lies. But they know that the public, at least some of them, will be moved by compassion and blame the current government. Next election they may well vote Democrat.
Don't fall for this lie.
